QUALITY POLICY

Western Postform is a family run business with over 40 years experience designing and manufacturing bespoke fitted furniture and washroom systems. Operating from our 40,000 sq ft state of the art facility in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway, we serve a varied range of customers in diverse sectors, including Residential, Education, Commercial, Hospitality, Healthcare & Leisure.

Our dedicated team, work to ensure each project is fully managed from the initial design stages working with project architects, clients and main contractor’s right through to the manufacturing and installation of the finished product.

Western Postform ensure this through the continuous improvement of our certified quality management system, the setting and achievement of objectives and the reduction of risk to the business and its customers at all times. We believe highly in progress through investment in our business, equipment, software and our people.

The Directors, Management and Staff are responsible for Quality Assurance and Quality Control through the Quality Management System seeking improvement by constant review, with suppliers and sub-contractors being encouraged to co-operate. This is done in line with customer, legal and regulatory requirements as they pertain to the organisation.

We monitor our performance and seek feedback to ensure customer satisfaction before, during and after our services have been completed.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Western Postform Ltd recognises that protection of the environment is an integral part of our business. We are firmly committed to the implementation and maintenance of an Environmental Management Plan which will minimise negative and advance positive environmental impacts and actively use this standard to continually improve all aspects of our business and ensure we adhere to our Mission Statement. We ensure this by:

  • Working closely with clients, sub-contractors, statutory bodies and local communities
  • Minimising waste and reusing or recycling materials
  • Preventing pollution of air, water and land
  • Minimizing noise
  • Disposing of waste responsibly
  • Protecting wildlife and habitats
  • Protecting archaeological remains and heritage buildings

We are committed to:

  • Complying with current environmental legislation, regulatory requirements, corporate guidelines and codes of practice.
  • We will review our legislative responsibilities and this policy on an annual basis and carry out self-monitoring to ensure compliance.
  • Ongoing monitoring and measurement of our management systems
  • Reviewing our performance against our objectives

Our staff is under a continuing obligation to evaluate, refine, and improve all aspects of this Policy. We assess on an ongoing basis, the availability of resources to deliver each project without harm to the environment, and strive for the continuous improvement of our processes to facilitate the ever-increasing demand from our customers.

We will continually improve environmental performance, by setting objectives and targets, implementing procedures to control activities and providing training to ensure that employees and sub-contractors understand their environmental responsibilities.

The Environmental Policy will be made available to the public in hard copy form upon request and is also available on the website. It will be reviewed annually as part of our annual management review.

Health & Safety Policy

Western Postform Ltd. are committed to comply with all primary legislation, ensuring continual improvement of the safety, health and welfare of all its employees and visitors, in so far as it is reasonably practicable. Safety, Health and Welfare is the priority of the company in relation to each place of work, materials, equipment, plant and machinery.

The guiding principles include the:

  • Commitment to continual improvement in occupational health and safety performance to reduce risk, where it is not possible to eliminate risks.
  • Commitment to comply with all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, in particular the Safety Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005; Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007-2020 & all associated amendments thereafter and the Safety Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 & all amendments thereafter.
  • Provision and maintenance, as far as reasonably practicable, a safe and health working environment for employees of this company and others who may be affected by company operations.
  • Provision of a framework for setting and achieving occupational health and safety objectives.
  • Consultation with all employees in matters relating to health and safety with the intention that each employee understand their obligations and take responsibility for their own safety and the safety of their colleagues, contractors and visitors.
  • Co-operate with and seek the co-operation of Clients and enforcing authorities to ensure work is carried out in a safe manner
  • Provision and maintenance of safe plant and equipment
  • Provision of training to employees as appropriate, to ensure competency in the performance and execution of their duties.
  • Disciplinary Action will be initiated as a result of infringements of the Safety Statement or involving unsafe practices.
  • To prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health
  • Availability of this policy to all interested parties.
  • Provision of welfare facilities at all places of work.
  • Revision of the policy, periodically, as the nature and size of the business changes.
